The name Sage springs from the Latin word salvere that means ‘to save'. This Mediterranean herb contains many volatile oils and phytochemicals like thujone, rosmarinic acid, flavonoids, camphor, tannin, phytoestrogens and cineole. It is also a good source of vitamin A, Ca, iron, K and has many health benefits attached to them. Here are some of them listed below:
