Caffeine Free Herbal Tea

Herbal tea is very beneficial for health and it is a great stress reliever too. It is also an effective remedy for cold, cough and symptoms of sinus. Green tea is equally beneficial but it contains some amount of caffeine. Herbal tea can also aid into weight loss. Jaggery is used instead of white sugar that is rich in iron. You may also add honey to your Herbal Caffeine-free Tea if you wish to.

- Cooking Time: 2 mins
- Serves - 1 glasses
- Tulsi (Indian basil) leaves – 4-5 leaves
- Jaggery (gur) – 2 tsp.
- Lemon juice – 1 tsp.
- Boil the tulsi leaves for 2-3 minutes and add jiggery till it becomes a liquid.
- Cool till it’s warm and add lemon juice, mix well.
- Strain using a strainer.
- Serve hot.
You may add cloves, mint and pepper with tulsi leaves. The calorie per serving gives about 32Kcal and fat of 0.1g. This can be included as a substitute for coffee, tea or green tea in your weight loss plan.
