Sprouted & Roasted Dalia (lapsi / broken wheat) Porridge - (Sweet)
Whole wheat sprouted and roasted Dalia - 1 Katori
Water - 4 Katories
Cook Dalia with the water.
Keep hot milk and jaggery syrup separately.
Mix according to taste and enjoy.
Add chopped fruit, nuts or dry fruits as a topping.
Sprouted & Roasted Dalia Savoury -
Whole wheat sprouted and roasted Dalia - 1 katori
Water - 4-5 katories
Onion - 1 (chopped fine)
Tomato - 2 (chopped fine)
Sprouted Moong Beans - ¼ katori
Assorted greens - ½ katori
(Note - other vegetables such as beans, carrots etc can also be used along with or instead of greens)
Nd Sambar powder - 1 tsp
Salt - to taste
Oil - 1 tsp
Jeera - 1 tsp
Curry Leaves - 2 sprigs
Chopped coriander leaves - a handful
Heat the oil.
Add jeera and curry leaves.
Add the chopped onions and sauté.
Add the chopped tomatoes and stir for a few minutes.
Add the sprouted moong beans and the greens (finely chopped vegetables) and sauté for a few more minutes.
Add the dalia and the water.
Add the salt and the sambar powder.
Cook in the pressure cooker (1 whistle).
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
