Are You Wearing the Right Bra?

The purpose of a bra is to support the breasts, restrict their movements during certain physical activities, distributing the breast's weight evenly around the torso, to prevent sagging of the breasts and to ensure good posture. Is your bra serving the purpose?? Did you know that 80% of the women do not wear the right bra? Could you be one of them?? Find out here!

1.The centre point of your bra is away from your body: This means that the cup size of your bra is too small for your breasts. The centre piece of the bra is meant to be touching your skin. If it doesn't, then it's time to buy a bra with a bigger cup size!
2.The underwire is sitting on the bottom of your breasts: The underwire is supposed to be underneath the breasts and should not be uncomfortable. If it is touching the breast tissue, it means the cup size is small for your breasts.
3.The band rides up your back: This happens when the band size is too big. It doesn't stay in the right place on the back and creates lumps on the back known as ‘back fat'.
4.Your breasts spill out of the bra: Again, this is the result of the cup size being too small for your breasts.
5.You find a gap between the cups and the breasts: this occurs when the cup size is big for your breasts. Buy a bra with a smaller cup size.
6.The strap is too big or too small: If the strap is digging into your shoulders or if you're tightening the strap to support/lift your breasts, it means the band size is either too big to support your breasts or the strap is too small to hold on. The armpit fat is seen: This could be due to a small cup size. Get the right measurement and size for your bra!
7.Your breasts are sagging: This could be due to lose back hooks or straps. If the sagging continues even after tightening, try a smaller bra or a different bra style.

Steps to measure your bra size:
1.Remove your shirt, keep the bra on. With a measuring tape, measure your ribcage below your breasts in inches. This will be your band size.
2.Measure the tip of your breasts in inches. The difference between this and your band size will give your cup size. (1"=A, 2"=B etc). This will give you your bra size. For example: if your breast size is 34" and the cup size is B, your bra size will be 34B.

NOTE:
•Take someone's help while measuring your bra size.
•Sizes may vary with different brands and styles.
•Always try on different bras before buying. See if the bra meets all the criteria.

Well, what are you waiting for?? Go shopping!!
